Audi A3 Rear Windscreen Wiper Not Working


We couldn't do this with Osh's as it refused to move, properly seized up...... The long metal rod, that the wiper arm itself attaches to, will come out, don't panic it is supposed to. You should end up with something that looks like this. Once out, you can then start cleaning things up . The linkage itself, full of rust and completely seized. Any grease will do. You will need to use two sizes of plastic pipe glued together though.

I said take it off, as i bet it's the same problem i had.The easiest way to tell if you have this problem is to switch on the rear wiper and In this case the bottle in the pic happened to have the correct size. I used a different brand for my own. Audi A3 Rear Windscreen Wiper Fuse The linkage attached to it will need unseizing so it moves freely. Plently of Plus Gas or WD40 will do the job.
