Another way I have seen this happen: 1.) put a DVD in - w/ headphones plugged in 2.)Watch DVD with windows media player 3.)pause DVD for 10-15 minutes 4.)hit play on i uninstalled the via drivers and let windows sort out its own drivers. please? have a peek here
But mine appears to be working ok. boom!!!! The driver I have for the VIA Audio Deck is current, according to the ones available on the ASUS Driver Page for the G75VW. I seem to be having the same problem my earphones work now but I have to re-open apps when I plug in!!
I set it as default and it does come up, however music or sound does not play from it. I dont know what has changed. this has completely solved this problem, however using the Fn+volume keys no longer change the volume when headphones are plugged in, only when on speakers.
